Sixbeds in Rome

Sixbeds is a bed and breakfast in Rome, located in Via Carlo Alberto 63

Sixbeds is a just restored 4th floor airy flat, with large and high walls, located in an ‘800 building, in via Carlo Alberto, in the heart of Rome. Few minutes walking from Colosseum (0,5 miles), Roman Forum (0,6 miles), Domus Aurea (0,4 miles), Michelangelo’s Moses (0,4 miles), the Lateran (0,7 miles), Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (0,1 miles). Actually, you can visit by walk all the city, from SIXBEDS. We manage tourism jobs in Rome with proud love since 1995, and we’ll suggest you the best walk-paths to enjoy Rome, even without using once a bus.

Nevertheless, if you really dislike to walk, just get out from the front door, and enter the subway station "Vittorio Emauele" (15 feet ahead the door!). Subway is really cheap (1 €, no matter how long you run) and allows you to reach every important point of the city centre, i.e.: Piazza di Spagna in 5 minutes, Vatican in 9 minutes, the Lateran 2 minutes, Pyramid 10 minutes, Basilica of St. Paul extra muros 12 minutes. You can even use subway to get to the beach (45 minutes), or to the archeological ruins of the ancient roman harbour Ostia (50 minutes).

Main train station "Termini" is also very close (0,3 miles, or 2 minutes by subway). From this station, the biggest one in Italy, it’s easy to reach Naple, Florence, Pisa, Venice, and quite all Italian towns. Frequent trains run regularly to the international airports "Leonardo Da Vinci" (Fiumicino – FCO, in 45 minutes, ticket 11,00 €) and "Pastine" (Ciampino – CPO, in about 20 minutes, ticket 6,00 €).

Location is nice and life-plenty, just on the top of Colle Esquilino (one of the famous seven hills). Roman nobleman Mecenas built his gorgeous villa here; today, people from all over the world here walk, work, and enjoy. Events, concerts and festivals occur very often in the park of next square (piazza Vittorio), few steps away. All around, dozens of stalls sell flowers. Shops, supermarkets, snack-bars, the most inexpensive discount in Italy ("MAS"), and many little coloured and happy knick-knackery shops surround the area. Well, come here. You’ll save money, even in buying souvenirs!
