Are You Down With OPP? Get High Rankings with Other Peoples Popularity

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

There are many “offsite” promotion tactics that work well to get high rankings. But nothing works better in my experience than publishing and syndicating information pieces or articles.

Now before you run off thinking you’ve read about the following tactic before, hang on!

This article assumes you have come cross one of my other articles on articles. And that you know what syndication is and why it is important at it’s most basic level for high rankings.

But now I want to show you a trick to get high rankings for search terms that you currently struggle with on your own site by optimizing SOMEONE ELSE’s site for that term.

Here we go!

There are other sites that have the traffic and rankings you WISH you had, right? Well, syndicating content can put YOU on those sites and if you are smart about it, you can optimize those popular sites pages with your search terms to get high rankings for that particular page.

Why on earth would you do that?

Well, for one, it is faster to get ranked higher on a site that already has a high ranking in the search engines. Your article could focus on a term like I am doing in this one.

Have you seen a repetitious, but hopefully not obnoxious, term in this article? I am using “high rankings” on purpose. I
don’t have a high ranking for that term on any of my sites and I want to use OPP to get a higher ranking for my link – which LINKS BACK TO MY SITE at the bottom of this article!

Confused? Don’t be. Basically, all I am doing is using the popularity of very large sites that house my articles every time I write to get attention of surfers looking for content based on less competitive but desirable keywords.

It’s a known fact that Google spiders more frequently on sites that are large, established, and that change frequently. I can have an article showing up on a Google search in the top ten for a key phrase in as little as 1 day at times.

On a new site the same article would take weeks sometimes to get into Google and even then, if my pagerank isn’t very high yet, I will STILL rank lower than the same page on an established site.

Higher rankings can be achieved in so MANY ways and this is just another angle for writers who have little patience for waiting on the engines to find THEM.

Syndicating keyword optimized articles is how I go out and find the search engines wherever they are spidering right now. This is also how I submit all my sites to the search engines. I just syndicate my articles.

This is basically like casting into a different, more active part of the pond you are fishing in. If the fish ain’t bitin’ where you’re fishing (your own site) then go fish another part of the lake with OPP!

Marketing Article: Easiest Low Cost Way To High Traffic

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

There is hardly any other online marketing tool that is as effective and yet so low-cost as articles are when it comes to generating traffic.

Most people don’t know it but low cost marketing articles are capable of generating tons of targeted traffic for any site. For instance a single article posted at an articles directory can end up in tens of thousands of other web sites. This in itself creates a marketing situation where there is a huge but low cost potential for traffic because even if your article in each of those sites generates the occasional hit, the numbers will tend to quickly add up into a very impressive traffic figure.

Marketing articles are actually so low cost that they tend to cost next to nothing. Apart from the time spent researching, writing and posting the marketing article, there is no other cost the site owner looking to get away from low traffic will incur.

Even if one chooses to hire a content provider to generate the marketing articles, the cost will still be very low when compared to other methods of advertising online.

What’s more low cost marketing articles tend to generate highly targeted traffic that has already been pre-sold before they actually get to your site. This also makes low cost marketing articles very valuable sources of traffic for any site.

One Way Links: Powerful SEO Strategy

Monday, June 8th, 2009

One way links are links that direct users to your website from another place on the internet. They are the type of link that you do not necessarily need to return. Reciprocal links are links that you place on your site in return for incoming links to your site. Permanent one way links are much better, and will get your site higher link popularity than reciprocal links.

There are two very popular methods for getting permanent one way links that will send traffic to your website. They include:

Writing Articles – How this works is that you write an article, at the bottom or in the content, you place a link to your website. Then, you submit the article to an article submission service that will make your content available for free or for a cost. The user of you content must then put the entire article on their site, with your link. And, you have one more permanent one way link to your website for every person who uses your content.

Submitting to Directories – Submitting your website URL to web directories is a very time consuming and boring process, where you give the title and description of the site, in addition to the URL for your site. The directory will then add your site and give you another incoming link. Directory submission is a good technique for getting permanent one way links.

Because the two ways that are most often used to increase the number of incoming links are both time consuming and boring, it is better to ask for the help of a professional who knows what to do to get you permanent one way links.

Using someone who has experience writing articles and submitting to directories in order to build one way links is better than doing these things yourself. Why? Because first you don’t have time to waste and second you could generate bad incoming links if you d not submit your articles or directory listings in the right way.

15 Link Exchange Tips

Friday, June 5th, 2009

Establishing inbound links through reciprocal link exchanges is a very effective promotional and advertising tool. If done correctly, building inbound links can improve your rankings in the search engines by raising your link popularity, increasing your website traffic, and providing a valuable resource for your website customers and visitors. Here are 15 link exchange tips to get you started:

1. Exchange links with websites that will bring you targeted traffic. Targeted traffic means visitors and/or customers that will be interested in your products or services.

2. Keep your link title brief and free of long sentences.

3. Try to keep your link description brief (aim for 200 characters or less).

4. Do not capitalize all letters in your link title or description.

5. Do not give the webmaster a deadline on when they should reciprocate. Webmasters are very busy people and it may take from 1 to 60 days or more. Be patient and in the long run you will receive more quality link partners!

6. Never remove a link partner from your site once they have agreed to exchange links with you and placed your link on their site.

7. Do not request link exchanges from sites that are unrelated to your website. For example, if you have a candle website, don’t exchange links with a pharmaceutical website. This will not benefit your customers or visitors and the search engines may penalize your website for this.

8. Let the webmaster know that you have indeed visited their site and explain to them why a reciprocal link exchange with your website would be beneficial.

9. Be sure that your link pages are search engine friendly. Link pages are easier indexed if they have no more than 25 links per page.

10. Complete your website before requesting reciprocal link exchanges. Most webmasters will not link to a site where most of the pages are “under construction”.

11. Do not give misleading information in your link exchange request. Most webmasters are not going to believe it and your request will most likely be ignored. For example, don’t claim that your site receives 100,000 unique visitors a day unless your site really receives that many.

12. It is best to categorize your link partners. For example, you might want to have a home and garden page, a home improvement page, a candles page, etc. This is a much better way or organizing your links for both your visitors and your link partners. If you just have one huge page of links in no order, most webmasters will not approve your link exchange request.

13. Make sure your links page is linked and visible from your home page.

14. If your site is family friendly, do not add link partners that offer services or products that are not family friendly.

15. Be aware of free-for-all link programs and link farms. These are sites that basically offer nothing but unrelated links and end up collecting and sharing your email address, which results in a lot of unwanted SPAM in your inbox.

The above tips are only a few suggestions on how to build a successful linking campaign. Most importantly, be patient and take your time to find quality link partners that will add a valuable resource and bring targeted traffic to your website.

Online Guru or Scam Artist: How Can You Tell?

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

You want to start your own online business. You want the financial independence from corporate America. You want to pursue your dreams. You need help. Who do you call?

Unfortunately, as the web has grown so have the undesirable elements too. The web is a microcosm of the real world. There are honest merchants and trainers. But there are also those looking to prey on inexperienced people. Before you get sucked into a bad situation and spend hundreds of dollars, read this article. As you read this article, do not accept what I say blindly. Test it against your own experience.

Every day, I’m certain you receive many emails promising you everything from cheap Canadian drugs to making big money fast at eBay. The first way to identify an online scam artist is by his SPAM. The spam emails you receive should trigger the same signals in your brain as the spore left by predators around the chicken coop. A reputable online business will not send SPAM (unsolicited email). A reputable company or individual will work hard to earn your business by publishing articles online, working on their website’s search engine results, and providing you with a content rich website. So, the first sign of the online scam artist is his SPAM email. Just delete any you receive. But, how do you find the right company or individual to support you?

Start with a search engine, like google.com or teoma.com. Search for terms like “small business forum”, “small business advice”, “small business newsletters”, and “home based business resources”. Looking at the resulting search results, avoid those search results that start with phrases like “business opportunity” or “work from home and make $50,000″. Come on! You know that just doesn’t sound right. If they knew how to make a fortune with very little effort, do you think they’d be teaching others how to do it? So what do you look for? Sites that offer articles from true professionals in the field of online business.

Read the articles that interest you. Listen carefully to what the writer is saying. If they are painting a reasonable expectation and answering your unasked questions, check out their website. Reputable people will work very hard placing articles on reputable sites where you can find them. They will work for your business.

Now that you’re on their site, what do you look for to determine if this company or individual is right for you? First, read the contents of their site. Is it focused on you, the potential customer? Does it give you relevant information, or just a sales pitch? Is it trying to get you to a free seminar without any other option of contacting the company? Does it give you a clear roadmap of how it intends to deliver on the promises it’s making? If they aren’t attempting to inform you so you can make a decision that’s best for you, RUN! (In other words, skip their site and go to the next).

As a side note: Stay away from academic organizations. They tend to know the theory of creating a successful online business. You want someone who has created a successful online business and knows what to do based upon experience, not theory. Read the biographies of the people heading the company. Are the biographies focused upon real world accomplishments? Read how they operate. After you sign with them, will you be handed off to some hourly employee or will you work with someone who has actually created an online business?

Once you find one or two options that look good for you, sign up for their free seminar. Every reputable company has an online free seminar. Unfortunately, so does every online scam artist, so before the seminar, do some research. Start by contacting the Better Business Bureau where the company is located to research any prior complaints. Go to google.com or teoma.com, or any other search engine, and put the company’s name in the search box. If anyone is really mad at them, results will come back. This is a case where “no news is good news”. Now that you know the company doesn’t have an already documented bad reputation, it’s time to attend the seminar.

Now that it’s time for the free seminar, what should you listen for?

Do they emphasize the money to be made, and downplay or ignore the effort required to accomplish that task?

Do they promise you to do the work for you?

Do they promise a lot of “free” things?

Do they offer a money-back guarantee? Though this may sound good as a sales pitch, few of them deliver on that promise.

Do they allow you to ask questions at some point in the seminar or do they keep themselves insulated from you and your concerns?

When the seminar is over, do you get to talk with the person who will be your coach/mentor, or do you only get to talk to a salesman only?

Let’s say everything is sounding good and you think you want to sign up. What now?

Follow these simple guidelines and you can avoid a costly mistake:
Don’t talk to a salesman! ALWAYS ask to talk to the person who will be coaching you.

Ask them about their experience and make certain you will feel comfortable working with them for the long term.

Be sure they are asking you tough questions to make certain you are a good candidate to be successful in their program. No reputable company wants to sell you a program you will fail at. Reputable companies count on happy customers telling other people about their company.

Make certain you understand the program and what you will be required to do to be successful.

Don’t fall for any “early bird registration discounts”. If you need time to think about this decision, a reputable company will understand that. Have as many conversations as it takes to feel comfortable. If they want to sign you fast, what kind of service do you expect once they have your money?

Is it easy to spot a scam artist online? It is if you follow the simple guidelines laid out in this article and if you listen to that small voice in your head that keeps repeating “this sounds too good to be true”.

Build Your Inbound Site Links Without Requesting Reciprocal Links

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

A funny thing happened to me three months ago. I decided to practice what I preach and publish a new article online. Hey, its easy to get sidetracked on other projects online and drop or forget about what works. We all do it.

It started when I was in a particularly good mood and itching to write about something I could publish online. I decided to post it for free on four article hosting and distribution sites. The four I chose were PermanentAds.net, GoArticles.com, Article-Emporium.com and EzineArticles.com.

The article I chose to write about was about buying tools online. Later, on April 28, I wrote an article about the early warning signs of mesothelioma cancer. After a couple of weeks of writing each article I decided to beginning checking Google and Yahoo’s search results to determine how many urls were displaying my two articles. The absolutely fantastic results obtained thus far are staggering.

My article about tools, with the title “Start Your Next Home Improvement Project With Tools and Hardware You Buy Online” now appears on 127 different Google search results (or url addresses). You can check it yourself. Just go to Google’s search box and type in the title of my article, being sure to put quote ” marks before and after the title. Like this:

“Start Your Next Home Improvement Project With Tools and Hardware You Buy Online”

When I ran it today, June 25, 2005, Google shows 127 listings.

The same type of search on Yahoo showed they have cached the article at 36 different url addresses.

My mesothelioma article, titled “Mesothelioma Cancer: Early Warning Signs and Causes” is currently showing up at 87 different urls on Google and 50 different urls on Yahoo. Once again, go to both search engines and search for “Mesothelioma Cancer: Early Warning Signs and Causes” with quotes at the beginning and end of the search string.

Each one of these article postings contain my author’s resource box, with links back to one or more of my websites.

Tell me, do you know of a better way to get free publicity to your site, better yet — to get free inbound links to your site without having to request or search for reciprocal links. And the beauty of these links is that they are coming from websites who focus on related topics or subjects — giving further creditability to them by the search engines.

If I had to pick just one article hosting and distribution site to post to I would pick PermanentAds.net because it has a large network of over 400 websites that could potentially host and distribute your article, depending on its keyword content. My second choice would be Article-Emporium.com.

Before you surf on to another website give free article posting some thought. I’m still amazed at how fast my article of just 57 days ago has spread like wildfire and being picked up by Google on 87 different url addresses, or how my article about tools 3 months ago is now showing up on 127 sites. I really can’t think of a better deal in advertising. Not just any advertising — but FREE ADVERTISING!!!

Visit PermanentAds.net now and see how many topics they cover that will publisch and distribute your site listings and articles. You’ll be amazed at how fast this free Internet marketing method works.

#3 How To Generate Traffic Using Only Free Methods

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

Putting up a company would of course require a lot of things, to get straight to the point, you need a capital. To make money requires money as well. But of course, with the versatility the internet offers, there are many ways you could find that could help optimize the potential of your site or business in generating traffic.

While there are ways to jumpstart your traffic flows, many sites don’t have the resources that others have to generate more traffic for your site. Well, you don’t have to spend a cent; all you need is the proper mindset and a lot of eagerness. You also must have the drive and perseverance to do hard work and research to generate more traffic for your site.

How sweet it is to have more traffic for your site without spending a single cent. Now it’s a sure thing that many sites have articles that offer tips and guidelines in how to generate traffic using only free methods. Because it is possible, you don’t need to speed a single cent, it may take time, to say honestly, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you. You get better chances by paying for your advertisements, but at least you get a fighting chance with some of these free methods I’m about to tell you.

Take advantage of online forums and online communities. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer. Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared.

With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.

You can also make use of newsletters. Provide people with a catalog of your products and interesting and entertaining articles. If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people. The more people who signs up for your newsletter, the more people there will be that will go to your site increasing your traffic.

Another great idea is trading links with other sites. You don’t have to spend a cent. All you have to do is reach an agreement with another webmaster. With exchanging links, the efforts both sites do will benefit both sites. Every traffic that goes to the site could potentially click on the link of your site and visit your site as well. This works well especially when both sites feature the same niche.

Write articles that could pique the attention of people that have interest in your product. Try writing articles that will provide tips and guides to other aficionados. Writing articles that provide good service and knowledge to other people would provide the necessary mileage your traffic flow needs.

Many sites offer free submission and posting of your articles. When people find interest in your articles they have a good chance of following the track by finding out where the article originated. Include a link or a brief description of your company with the article and there’s a great probability that they will go to your site.

Write good content for your site. Many search engines track down the keywords and keyword phrases your site uses and how they are used. It is not a requirement that a content should be done by a professional content writer. You could do your on but you have to make content for your site that is entertaining as well as informational. It should provide certain requirements as well as great quality.
Generally, internet users use search engines to find what they are looking for. Search engines in return use keyword searching in aiding their search results. With the right keywords, you could get high rankings in search engine results without the costs.

All of these methods and more will drive more traffic to your site for free. All it takes is a bit of effort and extended man hours. Learn all you can about the methods depicted here and you will soon have a site with a great traffic flow without the usual costs that come with it.

I am delighted to write about Bill (my Dad). Ever since I was a little boy, Bill (my Dad) has always guided and directed me and looked out for my best interests. Driving Time

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

We all have to get somewhere every single day. Might be your work, the supermarket or the mall thousands of places to go to and thousands of chores to get accomplished. Every day as I am driving to the places that I need to get to this thought always pops in to my mind and I wonder why hasn’t anyone done anything about it. My travel time daily average to and from is about two hours, and as I am sitting in my car listening to music or the radio, I really wish I could be doing something else that is more productive and not simply staring at a road. Two hours for my type of lifestyle is valuable time, there has to be someone that thinks of something to where I can be productive with my time in the car. I wish I could really talk to some computer to tell it to get my bills paid or maybe, get started on tomorrows work and what about letting another computer at the house to start cleaning the mess that I left this morning in the kitchen before I left the house in a hurry. Something has to be done right? I hope that the future that we thought of when we were kids, comes soon where we can travel from place to place and not waist our time stuck I traffic.
